How to Donate
Please contact us or come by during public business hours to donate.
We are accepting anything non-perishable as well as fresh products.
You can donate online at canadahelps.org or you can donate via cheque and cash in person or by mail (although we do not advise mailing cash).

Volunteers:
Comox Valley Food Bank has a core team of 35-40 volunteers who are the heart and soul of the organization. And we have fun! If you would like to volunteer, please contact us.

 

Food Donations:

The CVFB strives to meet all requests for after hours pick ups/drop offs in conjunction with Special Fundraising Events and Food Drives.

Our most needed food donations are:

Fresh: Fruits and Vegetables, Cheeses, Eggs, Yogurt, Nuts/Seeds, Nut Butters, Dried Beans, Rice, Pasta, Gluten-Free items.
Canned: Beans, Fish, Meat, Fruit, Vegetables, Pasta Sauces.
Other Items: Nutritional Snacks for Children’s Lunches, Sugar-Free Juices, Milk Alternatives, Toiletries, Diapers, Paper Products, Frozen Foods.

 

Cash Donations:
Cash donations are gratefully received and assist us in purchasing in bulk those items which are considered luxuries: peanut butter, soap, tea, coffee, sugar, jams, condiments, and laundry products. Donors are issued a tax receipt.
The CVFB also has over 100 cash donation jars placed at local businesses for point of purchase donations.
Other monetary donations can be made at City Hall to the Food Bank.
